Western Province will face the defending champions, the Sharks, on Saturday at 15:30 at Paarl Gimnasium in a match which will determine who will represent the southern region in the SA Rugby u19 Championship final. Both teams' unbeaten record for this year's competition in still intact.
Western Province had too much firepower for Eastern Province beating them by 71-12 during the second match-day of the newly structured competition. WP's flyhalf, Feghon-Leigh Snyders, contributed 17 points to his side's victory via a try and six conversions.
Lock Juan Beukes scored two of Western Province's 11 tries. The hosts thrashed Boland by 64-10 in their opening match of the competition.
The Sharks also demolished Boland to book a date with Western Province. The team from KwaZulu-Natal came out on top by 73-7 in their second match of the competition in Paarl.
Thabisho Mdletshe (prop), Connor Simpson (eighthman) and Kobus Hattingh (scrumhalf) all crossing the white-wash twice as the Sharks ran in eleven tries.
